KALEIDOSCOPE
“Kaleidoscope” is a site-specific installation realized from cut plastic bags and applied on the windows of Mixed Greens Gallery in New York. The imagery comes from the sun shimmering on and reflecting off the windows of buildings in New York City. By using recycled plastic bags for the installations, the work allows the viewer a measure of intimacy through the familiarity of the material. In transforming these everyday bags into delicate collages, I aim to reconsider the value of these discarded objects and their impact on our natural environment.
