COMMON GROUND

“Common Ground” is a site-specific installation realized from cut plastic bags and applied on the windows of Wave Hill Sunroom Project Space in the Bronx. The imagery reflects the presence of the natural world around us; in this case, the view of the Palisades from Wave Hill in autumn. By using recycled plastic bags for the installations, the work allows the viewer a measure of intimacy through the familiarity of the material. In transforming these everyday bags into delicate collages, I aim to reconsider the value of these discarded objects and their impact on our natural environment.
