TREE TALK

We live in a complex and fragile world. Our senses are tools we use to survive and to experience our surroundings. The artwork “Tree Talk” originates from my physical encounter with cut trees in the forest. The smell of freshly cut wood and the desolation of the bare tree prompted this project. In the forest, I carved directly into the wood words related to the five senses. In this way, I aim to address questions of existence and relation to the world.

The work takes the form of prints, artist’s books, and documentary video.
