WORKOUT
The series "Workout" started when I found two old books in the lobby of my building. The first one was dedicated to male physical exercises and the other was a teaching method for needlepoint. This coincidental find reminded me of my childhood and my experience growing up in a patriarchal family and society. "Workout" reflects the assumptions of the roles men and women play in society.
Part of these series was exhibited at the group show Intersectionality in 2016 at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, Curator Richard Haden, Miami, FL.
