THE DARK SIDE
The mirrors of our time, images in fashion magazines synthesize a place where glamour and beauty are part of everyday life. The magazines in our hands tend to show us an idealized world, but once our eyes leave the pages and reach the real world, a sense of disorientation grabs us.
I am interested in exploring this feeling of disorientation. I question the construction of a generic image of beauty and the loss of personality associated with the images that pervade our daily life.
Series of 130 pieces, part was exhibited at the New York Institute of Technology in 2013.
