HOME SWEET HOME
When I was a child, I had to wear slippers at home and at school. Every morning I went through the rite of passage of changing shoes to enter an intimate space or a space of knowledge. Through my experiences living in different countries, I realized that shoes are strongly connected to our lives and cultures. I built these shoes with maps as a way to reflect on place, passage, and marks. How and where are we heading, and what are our footprints on earth and beyond?
