FLYING WORDS

“Flying Words” results in reflections about language, communication, and knowledge. Using the concertina form, allows an escape from the form of a book and gives a mobile quality to the artwork. In this way, this piece implies that what we read or see is in a constant state of flux, both with respect to other people and in the making of our memories.

“Flying Words” has several iterations.
